Launching OBS Studio in Linux

Launch OBS Studio from the Applications Menu.

  1. You should add one step for Fedora/RHEL/CentOS installs of OBS Studio. To enable the VirtualCamera option, you also need to install the v4l2loopback packages.

    $ sudo dnf search v4l2loopback
    
    akmod-v4l2loopback.x86_64 : Akmod package for v4l2loopback kernel module(s)
    kmod-v4l2loopback.x86_64 : Metapackage which tracks in v4l2loopback kernel module for newest kernel
    v4l2loopback.noarch : Utils for V4L2 loopback devices
    $ sudo dnf install v4l2loopback
    This will go on to install these 2 packages:
